I'm an Atlanta transplant. Originally from Arizona, I moved to Atlanta in 1996. I've been here ever since.

Computer geek by trade and necessity, I like to put all that behind me when I'm not working. It tends to bore the norms :-)

Don't judge a book by its cover. I'm plenty strange enough to piss off most of the bible thumpers in Georgia and the South in general. I just keep it all buried under a veneer of normality for business reasons :-)

I'm current on all my major vaccinations, as are my 2 dogs. I'm a dog guy - so if big dogs scare you, you probably won't enjoy coming over.

I love to travel. I spent nearly 2 months in Costa Rica over the past year for work. I've also been all over the US, Canada, France, Switzerland, Mexico, etc. Gotta love corporate expense accounts and work-related travel! I'm still trying to make it to Belgium, Germany, Italy, Greece, Japan and China at some point. But I have plenty of time to work those in.

Some of my favorite things: Dogs, friends, family, autumn nights, cold evenings beside a roaring fire, the desert, dense forests, staring at the stars, finding a new series of books that you can't read quickly enough, Belgian beer, a good absinthe, epic movies, San Francisco, overcast days, quirky humor and properly placed sarcasm.

Some of my least favorite things: liars, instability, not grasping how something works, sheep (as in people who don't do their own thinking - the fuzzy things that provide us with wool are a-okay), bugs, unbearable heat and humidity, waking up early on a day when it's okay to sleep in, asparagus, being late.

Here's where I get to admit that while I have no piercings or tattoos, I find the 'suicide girl' archetype super attractive. Maybe it was being in love with Joan Jett when I was 9 or 10.

Honestly, I mainly look for intelligence and honesty. Someone who can keep up to my obscure movie quotes and references, who can carry on a good conversation, and enjoys finding a good hole in the wall restaurant instead of the giant corporate mega-chain places.
