i am a forest fire in the middle of winter. i consume innocence and exhale it in a swirling cloud of noxious smoke. i embrace that which you hate and fear. my life is purple velvet upon the face of the damned. blood soaked dreams smell like 4 a.m... time flies when youre not breathing... in my thoughts are the aftertaste of cheap vodka and the lingering scent of camel cigarettes. i can still see her green eyes falling upon me like some lucid dream that never happened...the touch of fingertips upon my face as i cry tears that burn my eyes. dusty lampshades and darkened rooms..shadows fall upon the chessboard at midnight. we both whisper as though each syllable holds a divine secret. demons dance behind her eyes and darkness falls upon her face. i know i cannot save her but i hold onto hope...behind her smile is a tragedy. the anguish can be felt like cold sunlight...blue and painful. the voice tells me it is not meant. "walk away" my soul is screaming, but love is the duct tape that keeps us bound within the killers trunk. this is the poison thats flows through my veins. i can feel its icy grip...paralysis as she falls. i reach out to grasp the last hope of her salvation but i stay my hand in complacency. alas she has fallen and life will never be the same. just another sad case they will say...another suicide another day.
