There is no reason to treat a first meeting as an interview laden with un-bridled pressure. I think a first meeting should merely be two individuals getting together for a good time and stimulating conversation. Only then...should the idea of a first date arise.

I tend to be VERY busy, with having full custody of my 2 sons and working full time while dealing with whatever life throws at me. When I do have free time, I am usually working on one of many art projects or spending time with family and friends. I absolutely can't tolerate lying. I'm an adult, I want the truth. If that truth is going to hurt, so be it, because when I've discovered I was lied to it will hurt even more. Dishonesty in my opinion is probably the biggest insult you can deal out, it conveys a total lack of respect, empathy, or remorse.

I think it's very important to have a great sense of humor, as laughing is one of the few things which can keep you sane in this crazy world. Music is also important - it is a universal language which sparks the imagination. It evokes emotion and ambiance and is one of life's simplest pleasures.

Beyond that...it depends on the person and the direction of the relationship as I am very open-minded and willing to compromise if there is mutual respect.
